Aamir Liaquat’s Aalim Online Became Reason of Minorities Killings?

Aalim OnlineKarachi: President of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan Zohra Yousuf has said the Geo TV program “Aalim Online”, hosted by Amir Liaquat Hussain, was increasing religious conflict in the country. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has called for serious act to defend the minorities’ lives and to end of hatreds through the media, news reported. Recently, this show was started again on Geo News.

“Aalim Online”, aired on September 7, 2008 at GEO TV, provoked spiritual and religious fierceness against the followers of the Ahmadiyya Community. Aamir Liaquat Hussain and his two guests Maulana Mohammad Ameen and Dr. Saeed Inayatullah mentioned to members of the Ahmadiyya Community as “Kafir”.

Zohra Yousuf told Aamir Liaquat was scattering religious bitterness through his show “Aalim Online”. Minorities were killed in three regions of Sindh due to hatred spread through this show by airing religious conversion on a live TV show was a ruin of human rights, she added.
Chairperson of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan further said that no solid action has been taken by authorities in Pakistan as with previous murders of Ahmadis Muslims, and in this case by the GEO TV and the host of the ferocity campaigning program is unapologetic. The DVDs of the program are being circulated in Pakistan and the program can be viewed on the Internet.

That religious hatred is blooming so publicly and to be remaining unpunished is an embarrassment to a country as the message of hate is receiving in the other countries as well by the live TV show “Aalim Online” presented by the Geo TV.
