Addictive Drugs In Karachi (Sindh) Damaging Future of Youth 

Karachi: Cases of drug addiction are very high and destroying the youth in the city. Local manufacturer and Indian addictive drugs are openly sold in pan Shops of Karachi, Hyderabad, Badin and different parts of Sindh.

According to reports more than 25000 street youth and children are drug users. Indian addictive drugs have broke previous selling records as it is very cheap. Golarchi big industrial market of Badin becomes main center for drugs sellers.

Rana Asif Habib President of Initiator Human Development Foundation (IHDF)  said that street children start from cigarette and then divert other addictive drugs like cannabis and heroine etc. Nearly 2 million youth and children are addicted and rest of youth and children are at also high risk because it is prevailing in every parts of the city.

Indian addictive drugs products are common selling in different pan shops and bus stands. Everybody can easily access pan, Gutka, cigarettes and drugs.

Opinion

Local administration and Sindh government is not making any plan specially for youth regarding standard higher education, health, hospital, parks, development and safety. Sindh government and local administration should provide proper environment to children and youth so that they play an important role in the progress of Pakistan after the completion of education.
