Airblue Owner Shahid Khaqan Abbasi accused in PIA crisis

Shahid KhaqanIslamabad: Owner of Airblue and Federal Minister of Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is accused in PIA crisis. According to the reports of Pakistani media, a meeting of National Assembly Standing Committee on Petroleum was held in Islamabad, in which MQM members have raised questions on PIA crisis. During conversation between the parliamentarians of MQM and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, MQM members have accused Minister of Petroleum in PIA crisis. Abdul Wasim of MQM have said that you are taking advantage of PIA crisis, with holding ministry.

Abdul Wasim said that the passengers are getting frustrated on the airports but on the other end, private airline companies including Airblue have increased their prices. On the remarks of Abdul Wasim, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi gets angry and asked him to give remarks in civilized manner. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that you have directly accused me, which is not morally right. He said that if private companies have increased their prices, it is the duty of concerned authorities to take action against them.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also revealed that Airblue is public limited company, not his owned company. After his reply, MQM members have walked out of the committee as a protest.
