ANP Sardar Hussain Babak Says Women MPA Carries Weapons

anp logoPeshawar: Parliamentary leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) Sardar Hussain Babak accused on women MPA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly that they carries weapons in their purses. He said during the conference at the KP assembly that he got a letter from security authorities of the assembly; according to letter some members of the assembly carry arms in their purses during the assembly. Even women don’t give their purses for checking purpose to female constables.

Sardar Hussain Babak demanded to take action against offending women members. He also added that by bringing weapons in the house they make male member frightened and threatened whereas IGP’s letter indicated that Policewomen avoid checking of women politicians due to high respect.

Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) member assembly Nighat Orakzai also consented with the charge and said that these members are violating the sanctity of the house by not getting their purse for checking as such women should be verified by the female constable and should not be allowed to bring weapons in the assembly. She further said every member who enters in the assembly should be checked strictly, if any one of them doesn’t give their checking, take strict action against him/her, so that no one can undermined the sanctity of the House.

The letter of the Assembly secretariat was addressed on the matter to the  parliamentary leader of the parties, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam- Fazal-ur-Rehman (JUI-F), Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Awami National Party (ANP), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N).
