Azadi March & Inqilab March Extended Summer Vacations in Islamabad

Schools in IslamabadIslamabad: By looking at the Azadi March and Inqilab March in the federal capital of Pakistan, it has decided to close public and private educational institutions for further 7 days. According to the details, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced to extend summer vacations in Islamabad till 25th August on security basis.

FDE took this decision on Sunday by showing seriously concerned over the growing security risk in Islamabad as continuing anti-government sit-ins of both political parties are increasing day by day. It is to remember that public and private schools were about to open on 11th of August after summer vacations but due to political marches it was announced that schools were reopen on 18th of August in Islamabad. In this regard, local privately-run educational institutions also decided to close their institutions for one more week according to the political conditions in Islamabad.

Similarly, the admission date of the first year classes at the public colleges is also extended till August 25, 2014 as absence of transport and block roads are the major problems for the citizen of Islamabad these days. On the other hand, educational institutions of neighboring Rawalpindi city have restarted their classes from today according to the schedule which was set before the political marches in Islamabad.
