Ban Imposed On Unveiled Women For Entering In Market

unveiled women ban in pakistan bazar Karak: A Local Committee of Khattak Ittehad has imposed Ban on unaccompanied and unveiled women for entering in Markets of Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The committee claimed that this step will help to counter vulgarity in area. Some prominent leaders of Jamiat Ulema e Islam – Fazal Ur Rehman were also played important role in this update.

Head of Khattak Ittehad Mir Zaqeem said that unaccompanied women in Market are not only Pukhtoon Tradition but also against Islam. He also asked shopkeepers to reject selling goods to those women who would visit market alone or without proper covering.

These clerics also met local administration and asked them to implement this rule but they rejected to follow clerics suggestions. On other hand, women rights foundations have started protest against this decision.

Many people are also rejecting this confused decision from Khattak committee. A man said that implementing some Islamic teachings on micro level will help foreign hands to defame Islam. If they are sincere with Islam them they should follow Quran and Sunnah and work for complete Islamic system, A Young Guy said.
