Punjab Assembly has passed a resolution for a ban on organising music concerts in private and public educational institutions. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has condemned this resolution of Punjab Assembly and has said that will restrict people from entertainment.
I have a question for PTI chairman Imran Khan that on one side he says that he will make Pakistan into Islamic welfare state and on other side he condemns ban on musical concert. Why doesn’t he have a clear policy?
I think Imran Khan does not know the meaning of Islamic Welfare State. Imran Khan should clear some of his policies which are confusing people.
@Mubashir…I think the confusion might spring from your assumption regarding the definition of islamic welfare state. Having an Islamic welfare state does not necessarily mean that you will have religious police bashing people on the streets (like in Saudia Arabia) for not taking up Burqa, listening to music, or just having a different viewpoint. It just means that it will be primarily a state that is consistent in its WELFARE objectives with Islamic principles of the overlapping domains. Secondly, even if these trivial issues of concerts and entertainment were to be controlled, thinking from a rational person’s standpoint…they most likely fall way lower on the governance priority list vis-a-vis other issues of hunger, disease, and illiteracy the nation faces.
thek ja rahe hain aap, islam se apne faide ki bat to le lein
lekin jahan islam pabandian lagata hai to trivial issues…..
thumbs up to you
A great Hero A great Leader . A great man ..A great personality silmpy a perfect person for our nation and country ALLAH bless him and i wish him to be a PM of Pakistan INN SHA ALLAH
Music halal or haram is another debate or even if it is sin then interference of state in every sin is another debate as well (as there is a difference between a sin and a crime). But allowing Punjab assembly to make microlevel decision making for universities is condemnable. no matter how good or bad the decision is, corrupt and nincompoop politicians shouldn’t be given the authority to impose their will on universities. today they ve passed this order and some are happy with it, what if someday musharraf or someone like him takes majority and bans hijab in unis using the same authority then? at most they could ve recommended to vice-chancellor’s committee and based on individual cases each vice-chancellor after consulting their university administration/faculty could ve come up to a decision. the act of meddling with university affairs is highly condemnable.
*consulting administration/faculty/ and most importantly students
