Bio-metric System In University of Karachi & Government Universities

Recently I went to University of Karachi for some work on main gate guard stops me and ask me where I was going. He let me go after I told him about work without noting down my vehicle number or taking my CNIC. University of Karachi and all other government universities in Pakistan must start a bio-metric system which must have all the employees and students record through thumb impression. Whenever any employee or student comes in university he/she have to give his thumb impression which will show his department name on screen. For those who are not employees or ex students guards can note down their vehicle number and take their CNIC and give them visitors past.

CCTV cameras must also be installed on every entry and exit points of universities. This bio-metric system can be made very easily. Government can even get free system by holding a competition between universities computer department to make bio-metric system. Winner can be given free scholarship in university.

I know that this idea is very simple and anyone in the past had also presented it but the biggest question is that whether government universities are ready to implement this.
