Accessible via Airport Road and Ammar Shaheed Road, Chaklala Scheme III is one of Rawalpindi‘s residential neighbourhoods.
Of parks and greenery… Established in the early 1980s, Chaklala Scheme III’s residents are primarily businessmen and military personnel, and many of them have been living there for decades. If you drive through the neighbourhood, you will see rambling houses with plenty of greenery, wide, tree-lined streets, well-maintained parks and small playgrounds. Several well-reputed educational institutes and healthcare facilities are located there as well. You can stop by the well-known Rose and Jasmine Garden to see thousands of flowers bloom or stop at School Road Park, one of the neighbourhoods’ most popular recreational avenues, for a walk or a picnic.
Shopping, salons and much more… There are several small commercial pockets located in Chaklala Scheme III and the most popular one is Main Market. You can shop for groceries at Shaheen Chemist and D. Watson stores; if you are looking for fabric, stop at the retail outlets of some of the city’s leading brands: Erum khan, Mausummery, Nishat Linen or Saj. There are also plenty of dining options including Domino’s Pizza, Granny’s, Hot n’ Spicy, Jamil Sweets, KFC, Subway and Tehzeeb Bakers. After you are done, opt for a mani-pedi at one of the salons; if you are a fitness enthusiast, there are plenty of gyms where you can work out.
The real estate take… Classified as a premium residential area, property values are among the highest in Rawalpindi. The area is completely built-up and vacant plots are not available. Prices and rentals have increased by approximately 30% in the last two years.
In a nutshell… Quiet residential lanes, plenty of green spaces and some of Rawalpindi’s best shopping and dining avenues all make Chaklala Scheme III one of the city’s most sought after neighbourhoods.
