Chinese President’s Two-Day Visit Confirmed

Chinese PresidentIslamabad: Chinese President Xi Jinping is all set for two-day visit in Pakistan as he will arrive in Islamabad on 20th April in order to sign various MoUs and agreements. According to the details, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam confirmed Chinese President’s visit to Pakistan on 20 and 21 in a weekly press conference on Thursday.

Energy and infrastructure projects worth $46 billion will be launched by President Xi Jinping as Pakistan-China Economic Corridor will be highly emphasis after his visit in Pakistan. Although Pakistan has been waiting for Chinese president’s visit for 10 months and this high level visit has postponed twice during this period.

It was also planned that Chinese president would be a guest of honor in the event of Pakistan Day military parade on 23rd March. In this regard, Chinese ambassador responded that President had to attend the parliamentary session which held once in a year in Beijing as it is necessary for Chinese leadership to be in the country during the parliamentary session.

However it is also expected that President Xi Jinping will also address to a joint session of Parliament on the second day of his visit. According to the sources, the National Assembly spokesman told that President Mamnoon Hussain can summon a meeting in the final moments the visit.
