CII Recommended Teaching Of Local Languages

Maulana  Muhammad Khan Sheerani-CIIIslamabad: Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) has recommended that the schooling in local languages should be start from the age of seven for every children. The Council also stated in its recommendations that children should be taught Arabic so that they could know the true meaning of some chapter of Holy Quran.

CII organized a seminar under a banner of primary education where CII’s Chairman Maulana Mohammad Khan Shirani read these recommendations during his address to a seminar. On the other hand, it was also focused with all other things that basic principles of Islam, Holy Quran, Hadiths, jurisprudence and the history of Muslims should be included in the primary education with the help of modern information technology.

Maulana Sherani said, “We have proposed to teach Persian and Arabic languages as students can also get knowledge of Urdu and local languages. However, CII’s seminar was fully focused on the primary education till fifth grade in which participants finalized 38 recommendations of CII as 7th recommendation was comprised on the 9 tips of change in curriculum.

In these recommendations, it was also suggested to include exercises of Zakat and inheritance in mathematics as well as examples must be included from Islamic history on other topics.
