However General Manager of Cinepax Cinema Mohsin Yaseen said in this regard that we have all receipts of paid bills as it is impossible to run cinema illegally. On the other hand, Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui told that the land of the cinema was given to a third party by the owner to whom it was allotted first. He further said that KMC’s contract was violated by the company through which cinema was operating as KMC is engage to close all those venues who are violating the rules of city administration these days. With respect to some sources KMC wants to make city council house on the sealed venue. Although some people criticized KMC for sealing cinema while some of them appreciate this step of KMC while claiming that all cinemas should be closed in Islamic countries. People also claimed that if there are cinemas in Pakistan then films should be censored.
