Cotton, Sugar & Cement Factories In Sindh

Cotton is grown in large quantity in Sindh. So this province has the largest number of textile factories. The factories which manufacture yarn from cotton are situated at Karachi, Kotri, Hyderabad and the districts of Khairpur and Larkana. The annual production of yarn is millions of kilograms. A fine quality of cotton cloth is also manufactured in these factories.

Sugar Mills:

Sugarcane is produced in large quantity in Sindh. The sugar factories are manufacturing fine white sugar. There are a large number of sugar factories in Sindh province. Total annual production of sugar in Sindh is more than ten thousand tons. Sugar factories are situated at Mirpur Khas, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allah Yar, Nawabshah,Khoski and Larkana.

Cement factories:

Gypsum and limestone are found in Sindh. These are used in manufacturing of cement. Therefore, many cement factories have been established in Sindh province. These factories are located in Karachi, Hyderabad and Rohri.
