Defence Of Pakistan

Quaid-e-Azam was most concerned with the defence of the country and the role to be played by the Armed Forces of Pakistan. The main reason for this special attention was that the Pakistan received scrap and out of order machines, broken weapons, rusted artillery and unserviceable air craft after division of Indian military assets in 1947.

And Quaid-e-Azam was right to think that Pakistan has to develop its armed forces from very initial points. Addressing pilots of the Pakistan Air Force at Flying Training School (presently PAF Academy) Risalpur on 1948, he said;

‘There is no doubt that any country without a strong Air Force as quickly as possible. It must be an efficient Air Force second to none and must take its right place with the Army and Navy in securing Pakistan’s Defence’.
