Syed imran ali shahDr. Imran Ali Shah is a politician from Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) who became a MPA in general elections of 2018. This is a brief biography to discuss the life & political career of Dr. Imran Ali Shah.

He was among those politicians who PTI claims to be the new face of Karachi.

Early life:

Dr. Imran Ali Shah was born in the political influential family of Dr. Mohammad Ali Shah, who served as a member of provincial assembly on the tickets of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). He also a member of PCB and become provincial Minister of Sports.

From an early age Dr. Imran Ali Shah was surrounded by political leaders of Karachi city. It is not known whether he was ever officially affiliated with MQM or not.

Education:

Dr. Imran Ali Shah is a Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon who manages A.O Clinic with his brother after death of their father.

He completed his initial studies from Karachi and then completed specialization from different universities and medical colleges in UK such as:

  • MRCS (Ed)
  • MRCS (Glasgow)
  • SICOT (Sweden)
  • FRCS (Trauma and Orthropaedics) Royal College of Surgeons of England

Political Career:

Syed Imran Ali Shah started his official political career in March 2018 by joining Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI). After joining PTI he said that he wanted to join PTI from 2012 because Imran Khan was the last hope for Pakistan.

PTI leader

He was awarded a ticket by PTI for PS-129 because of politically influential background. He won the elections and become a MPA for Sindh province.

Scandal:

A video become viral just one day after he took oath as MPA in which he was seen beating an elderly man in Karachi.

Initially Syed Imran Ali Shah defended his actions claiming that the man pushed him and abused but after mainstream media covered the story he met Daud Chauhan to apologize.

Dual Nationality:

On social media pictures of his UK passport also surfaced indicating that he is also a citizen of Britain. Dual Nationals are not allowed to participate in Pakistani elections.
