However after few hours of this decision Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) deferred their decision to include ‘none of the above’ box in ballot papers. It was an great idea and officials of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) were expecting that turn out in the upcoming general elections will be around 70% because of inclusion of ‘none of the above’ box in ballot papers.
In the past elections in Pakistan 40-45% have turned to polling booths to cast their vote. It would be better if Election Commission of Pakistan and Government of Pakistan include ‘none of the above’ box in ballot papers. Because if this is not included many people will not go to cast their vote and there is a chance that there bogus vote will be casted. Many people will also choose 3-4 candidates to waste their vote.
