The chief secretary of Sindh environmental projects, Muhammad Siddiq Memon ordered to audit the six environmental projects. He told on Tuesday that between 2013 to 2014, 8 Million and thirty hundred thousand spend on these projects. No details of the expenditures are available.
The projects are as follows:
1. Forests
The aim of this project is to create awareness about the importance of forests in Sindh to prevention of flooding.
2. Freshwater
Installation of fresh water systems so that clean water can be made available to the people of sindh.
3. Sustainable Agriculture Program
To train the farmers how they can increase the capability of agriculture and farming because Pakistan’s economy depends heavily on agriculture.
Additionally, chief secretary of development projects Muhammad Waseem and Secretary of Servicse Jamal Mustafa, also stressed on conducting a proper audit. Penalties and fines should be imposed on the employees, who are involved in fraudulent activities.
