Extremist Group Burnt Masjid in London, No Arrest Yet

islamic centre burnt in londonLondon: Unidentified terrorists burnt Masjid in North London. Police has confirmed that there is suspect on English Defence League graffiti (an Extremist group against Muslims). The Affected building in Muswell Hill has Somali Bravanese Welfare Association and Al-Rahma Islamic Centre. Police told media that it’s looking revenge from EDL on killing of Lee Rigby in Woolwich. Mohamed Ali from Somali Charity said that this attack has link with Woolwich incident. I invited those who did this for dialogue.

Chairman of Somali Diaspora UK Mohamed Elmi said that this fire has created fear in London’s Somali Community. People are scared to leave home while women are also feeling fright on wearing Hijab on Road.

The fire in residential area was started at 3 am. Local residents called for emergency. 3 fire engines took an hour to control blaze.  The Building was completely damaged.  Ahmed who is regular visitor of this Islamic centre told that hundreds of students used this centre weekly. They taught all types of subjects here. These centers were used by London’s Somali community.

On other hand, English Defence League (EDL) has refused to take responsibility of this incident. Scotland Yard said has also called this fire as suspected. Police is also linking connection of EDL with this attack.
