Fazlur Rehman Arrived Karachi To Convince MQM’s Leaders

Fazlur Rehman and Altaf HussainKarachi: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has arrived Karachi from Islamabad in order to convince upset leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). Fazlur Rehman has come Karachi with the aim to persuade MQM’s members to withdraw their resignation from assemblies.

Fazlur Rehman said while talking to the media at his arrival in Karachi that responsibility to talk with MQM’s leadership has given to him while we will try to find a constitutional way on the issue of resignation. According to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, he was encouraged to come to Karachi after talking with MQM’s chief Altaf Hussain as he is hoping that issue of resignation will solve soon.

It is pertinent to mention that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has requested Fazlur Rehman to convince MQM’s members for coming back in the assemblies. With respect to the media reports, MQM is ready to comeback in National Assembly on three conditions to be approved as their first condition is the establishment of a committee to oversee the Rangers operation in Karachi.

While second condition is investigation from judicial commission over the extra-judicial killings of MQMs’ workers and third condition is release of more than a hundred MQM workers who are allegedly in the custody of law enforcement agencies.
