Free SMS And Minutes For Ufone, Warid, Telenor, Zong & Jazz?

Advertisements and commercials of mobile phone companies are openly lying in Pakistan. All the mobile phone companies which are operating in Pakistan (Ufone, Telenor, Mobilink, Warid and Zong) are advertising their service in such a manner that mobile phone user think that most of these mobile services are free.

For example mobile companies advertise like this:

• In just 4.99 Rupees subscribers will get 500 free SMS (Short Message Service).
• In just 9.99 Rupees subscribers will get 100 minutes

How can these companies say that they are giving free SMS and minutes when they are charging from subscribers? It does not matter that whether they are charging one rupee or 1000 rupees. If anyone is paying even a single paisa then it means that he not getting free SMS or free minutes.

If a subscriber get 500 SMS in 5 rupees then it means that 1 sms cost is 0.01 rupees but still it not free. It is now time that PEMRA take notice of this and direct all these mobile phone companies to not use the word ‘FREE’.
