Al-Technique Corporation n of Pakistan (ATCOP) with the assistance of National Centre for Non-Destructive Testing (NCNDT) has established a facility for detecting fractures in steel wire ropes non-destructively. The NDT technique is used for inspection of hoisting ropes in deep mines, lifts, cable-cars, cranes, as well as of ropeways. The equipment is portable and can easily be used for inspection at site.
By scanning the complete wire rope non-destructively with a hand y mechanism sensor, we are able to detect any brown wire, wear or corrosion in order to assure the quality of the wire rope. Since the wire-ropes have a limited life span, signs of deterioration typically appear after a certain time, causing operations to become increasingly dangerous if the signs remain undetected. With this technique, we can provide increased service reliability for all our customer having steel wire rope applications.
