Good Ties with India is Among Top Priorities: Hassan Rohani

Tehran: Newly elected Iranian President Hassan Rohani as declared good relationship with India in Top priorities of his government. He said that Good India-Iran relation has important part of foreign policy. In response to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s Congratulations, Iranian president gave this statement. Rohani also said that hopefully relations between both countries will grow in his presidential tenure.

Rohani also claimed that good India-Iran relationship will promote regional stability. Earlier, Indian PM Manmohan Singh congratulated Rohani and hoped for broad-based relationship.

On other hand, Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi termed US sanctions as irrational. He also asked US officials to revised policies regarding Iran. He also asked USA to follow Reconciliation and Respectful way.

Rohani is scheduled to take President Office on 3rd August 2013. There is a perception that he will try to improve relation with west and good relationship with India is also part of it.
