Environmental awareness walk from Karachi Press Club Unto Karachi Arts Council on 5th June at 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Speech competition at Karachi Arts Council, Auditorium was on 5th June at 3:00 Pm to 6:00 PM.
The World Environment Day is commemorated every year on 5th June to revive the global commitment to protect and conserve natural environmental with the aim to enhance awareness that our survival depends upon pollution taking simple steps as follows:
- Conserve precious water resources for our future generations
- Contribute to clean environment by planting a tree
- Generate less litter and ensure proper disposal
- Use traditional bags made of paper or cloth, and say no to plastic bags
- Minimize use of energy
- Compliance of environmental laws
- Protect forest and encourage afforestation
- Protect arable lands for a hunger free world
