I pointed to an average looking Bakra and asked its price from Bakra Wala who said that its cost around 30000 rupees. Astonishingly I said to him that this Bakra is not more than 10000 rupees.
But the Bakra wala who was wearing Sindhi cap promptly replied “Sir this is Zardari era and now average Goats are ranged between 25000-30000 rupees.” He added that “it was during former President Pervez Musharraf time when Goat was available at 10000 rupees”.
The price of goats are sky rocketing this year almost half of my salary. It was good old days (not so old) of Musharraf era when people like me bought 2-3 goats in the price of todays.
It is also expected that Butchers (Qasae) will also charge more for sluagter of sacrificial animals.
