Hurs Role In Pakistan Movement

Sibghatullah, father of Pir Sahab Pagara, was the religious chief of Hurs in Sindh who laid the foundation stone of Hur Movement in 1929. The truth is that the Hurs played the decisive and important role in the Pakistan Movement. These were Hurs who made the path easy for the Indian Muslims to reach the destination of Pakistan.

British were afraid off the Hurs and this was the reason that to punish them they imposed Marshall Law in Sindh. The villages of Hurs were set to fire and the women and innocent children of Hurs were shot down indiscriminately.

Sibghatullah Shah, with the Hurs, was also punished by British but he faced all the problems boldly with his Hurs. Briefly, women, journalists and Hurs played a crucial role in the Pakistan Movement and the establishment of Pakistan.
