Hyderabad Municipality Department has appointed many employees illegally on quota basis. Deputy Commissioner of Hyderabad Mutasim Abbasi has issued letter in this regard. However it is not mention in the letter regarding who is performing illegal recruitment and investigation. Municipality officer briefed in the court we are unaware about such activities.
Deputy Commissioner wrote a letter to secretary of local government on 20 July 2016. He discussed in the letter more than 800 employees have terminated from service. Municipality officers included computer operator, junior clerk, driver, assistant accountant, watch man and secretaries.
“In the first phase one committee has formed on the order of the municipality court included 8 members. The committee has prepared its report after investigation. According to the report they traced around 870 illegal appointments which made during two consecutive years.” he said in a statement
On the other hand terminated employees protested in front of press club. They told that we have been terminated without any reason. Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah assured to solve the problems but he is not connected with us. They said that if their problems will not be solved we would protest in front of Bilawal House Karachi.
