Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry Was Like Indian Umpires: Imran Khan

Imran KhanLahore: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan said that prior Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, disappointed the nation, he took suo-moto notices on minor cases, but kept on postponing, when it came to theft of the mandate of the people of Pakistan.

Addressing at book-launch ceremony, Khan said when a corrupt man becomes leader he destroys institution like a dictator who ruins institutions while trying to become a democrat. He further added that both the winners and losers of the general elections frequently said that the polls were fixed, when I claimed verification of votes in for electorates. The Chief Justice summoned me to protest against fraud, Imran said.

Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan has related former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry to an Indian umpire while condemning him for refusing to check votes in four constituencies during 2013 general elections. Mr. Khan recalled an Indian umpire, who had rejected his appeal against an Indian batsman during a cricket match allegedly in order to protect a win for his team.

The PTI Chief supposed that only an authentic leader can lead the society to the path of progress and success. A coward cannot take great decisions for the betterment; he indicated and advised for brave and bold steps for better Pakistan.

The 61-years old politician claimed that if he were in place of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, then he would surely make inquiries the polling staff of Sargodha that how come 8000 votes were polled in favor of Nawaz Sharif, when the recorded voters of that polling station were only 1500.
