Important Milestone Of Pakistan Movement

1940 is an important milestone for the Pakistan Movement because the Muslims of India determined unshaken and definite aim this year and the aim was to achieve a separate and independent Muslim state. Having determined their goal, the Indian Muslim devoted all their efforts for achieving the same.

The British Government, to irritate the Muslims as a conspiracy, ordered to open fire on the procession of Khaksars in March 1940 and consequently many died.

The aim of this conspiracy was that when the Muslims will come to support Khaksars, they will also be paid in the same coins and the circumstances could have been made worst that the Muslim League could have not arrange its expected session. But this conspiracy of the British Government could not work due to political foresightedness of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
