THIS refers to the letter “Imran Khan on Islamic welfare state” by Mr Salman Minir (July 04). I do not agree with the writer as he is the view that Islam welfare state model of Taliban government and Saudi Arabia is nightmare for all.
I think the writer does not know that during Taliban few months’ government only few people were killed and crime rate was very low. And if we take Saudi Arabia than the law and order situation in the oil rich country is very low.
Rape incidents and many other crimes are very much in the West but in Saudi Arabia (which is close to Islamic welfare state) this type of crime are very low.
