Bradford: The students of Bradford University has launched a movement against Imran Khan the Vice Chancellor of the University and current leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Imran Khan could not concentrate on the matters of the university due to his political activities in Pakistan. On 10 of March the student by voting will demand Imran Khan to leave his political activities.
The cricketer turned politician Imran Khan is facing many challenges so his works should be appreciated, Vice Chancellor Professor Brian Cantor said while defending Imran Khan. The students have claimed that as a chancellor he is not fulfilling his duties for the university.
As a Chancellor of University it is the duty of Imran Khan to attend the award functions at least twice a year to distribute degrees to the students. Last time he attend the 2010 award function of University after which he did not attended even a single function due to his political activities.
One of the major reasons of movement started by student union is that they are losing the opportunity of taking their certificates from the hands of a famous cricketer. The movement was registered against Imran Khan by a student of law Mohsin Tanveer. Tanveer said that due to the absence of Chancellor we are demanding him to leave his political activities.
