Film actress Meera will also contest 11th May General Elections on this NA-126 seat. Meera is contesting election from Justice Party, she announced that she will compete with Imran Khan on this seat and she is also quite sure that she will give tough time to cricketer turned politician Imran Khan.
Sarfraz Nawaz has also submitted his nomination paper from NA-48, Islamabad, Sarfraz was also elected to the Punjab Assembly in non-party polls in 1985. Imran Khan is also contesting elections from NA-1, Peshawar-I and NA-71 Mianwali seat. On NA-1 seat Imran face tough competition with Awami National Party(ANP) senior leader Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour.
According to political analysts there are bright chances that Imran will win from here. Analysts were of the view that Meera is only contesting election on this seat to get some popularity.
