In my house all the illegal Indian channels (Star Plus, Sony TV, Colors TV) are blocked and according to my cable operator PEMRA ( Pakistan Electronic Media Regularity Authority) has directed strictly to all the cable operators that all the illegal channels (those who are not paying the PEMRA fees) must not be aired. It is very good decision and all the cable operators must follow the directions of PEMRA.
If any Indian channel or any other foreign channels pay the fees of PEMRA than they can be aired but censor board must examine their content and then allow these channels.
Many foreign channels are not giving quality programs and their shows are aginst our culture and mislead our young generation. It is hoped that all the channels are properly scrutinise before giving them permission to be aired.

This is not true that the content in form of programs showed on these banned channels is misleading or offensive, in my opinion the pro grams showed on our channels are far more misleading , offensive, discouraging in terms of women empowerment & last but not the least potraing pathatic sense of entertainment. people might not support my opinion but we people whoes least source of entertainment is to watch tv at our homes, if the channels having most viewer ship get banned it would be the last nail in the coffin of entertainment. I can name few programs on pakistani private channels as my favourite except those the channels can title as roumor mongers, rest of the list belongs to indian channels. Cable operators should pay the due fee so can we watch our favourite channels.
