Jamaat-e-Islami Women Wing To Celebrate Hijab Week

jamaat e islami women wingKarachi: Jamaat-e-Islami women wing has announced to celebrate Hijab Week from 4th September to 14th September as conferences, seminars and discussions forums will held in all across the country. Schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions will be given lectures on the issue of Hijab (Veil).

However Jamaat-e-Islami women wing will also contact to the advertisement agencies and to the owners of beauty parlors, boutiques and shopping malls as well as letters and lectures will be provided to them regarding the issue of veil. According to the details, Central General Secretary of JI’s women wing Durdana Siddiqui expressed her views while addressing to a press conference on Wednesday. At this event, women wing’s Deputy General Secretariat Rana Fazal, Amna Usman, Secretary General of Sindh Atiya Nisar, Secretary General of Karachi Farhana Aurangzeb, President of Women and Family Commission Afshan Naveed, Aliya Shamim, Saima Iftikhar and others were also presented.

In this regard, Central General Secretary of JI’s women wing Durdana Siddiqui told that to celebrate Hijab Day was first decided during the meeting which was held under the presidency religious scholar Alama Yousuf Al Qamar Zawai at London in 2004.
