Jamaat-e-Islami’s Izazul Mulk Wins PK95 By Poll

Izazul MulkPeshawar: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has won PK-95 by poll on Thursday as Izazul Mulk who was the nominated candidate of JI received 19,812 votes according to the unofficial result. Whereas Awami National Party’s (ANP) Haji Sardar Bahadur defeated by Izazul Mulk with the help of 3885 votes. However there was a tough competition between JI and ANP but ANP’s candidate Bahadur Khan left behind by getting only 15,927 votes.

Both parties took part actively in the by poll in order to win seat which was vacated since the time of JI chief Sirajul Haq elected as Senator. The nominated candidates of JI and ANP are associated with politics from several years as both Izazul Mulk and Sardar Bahadur have also served as member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly as well as also worked as tehsil nazim in the past.

JI has won the same seat for four times whereas ANP has made PK-95 seat on their name for three times since 1988. Although recent election for PK-95 went in a peaceful manner as there were total 85 polling stations which formed for by poll in which 33 polling stations declared as the most sensitive stations. Although 127,096 voters were registered in the constituency in which 53,000 voters were women.
