Hafiz Muhammad Saeed the head of Islamic organization Jamaat-ud-Dawa and chief of the Pakistan Defence Council (PDC) has said that they will show their strength in Karachi on 12th February, 2012 (Sunday) at Quaid s mausoleum. The first Difa-e-Pakistan conference was held at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore where thousands of people gathered. Another Difa-e-Pakistan conference was held in at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi.
Difa-e-Pakistan council chief Hafiz Saeed said that DPC has formed a committee to invite all political parties for Karachi conference. The parties which are invited are Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Mohajir Qaumi Movement (MQM-H), Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and other religious parties.
Hafiz Saeed was addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club (KPC) on Saturday.
After Imran Khan’s massive rally in Lahore, which was an eye-opener for other political parties a new political front named Difa-e-Pakistan emerged. A number of their leaders headed outfits that have been banned by the United Nations and with them there is a politician and retired army general whom the electronic media just love to have on their ‘Talk Shows’.
Haven’t we seen in the past the botched attempts made by the establishment in thwarting a better future for Pakistan by their misadventures. It’s time the civilian government got their act together and disbanded these hate mongering groups.
