Assignment Editor
Job Profile: Under the guidance and supervision of the Senior News Editor and Desk Editors, you will be responsible for assessing, following, collecting information and developing news stories for the News Desk by assigning the best selection or at times combination of reporters to follow, research and develop those stories.
You are an energetic person who understands news as a commodity; and is capable of obtaining and absorbing information flows from field reporters, public messages and tips, government and political party leaks, internal sources, professional colleagues, news agency sources, international media and internet and are able to process it for screen through assignment of the right human source to develop it. You are preferably under 40 years of age on 30th April 2012.
