Karachi: The leading anchor of Geo TV Kamran Khan has jumped into another ship by leaving Geo TV as he has announced this news during his show “Aaj Kamran Khan Ke Sath” on Thursday. According to the sources, senior journalist is likely to join new media channel Bol TV as he has been linked with Geo TV for 32 years.
Geo TV’s reporter Murtaza Ali Shah has tweeted that Kamran Khan has resigned from Geo TV and is all set to become a part of Bol TV. Another colleague of him, Maria Memon also tweeted about Kamran Khan’s resignation from Geo TV. Kamran Khan joined as senior staff of Geo News in 2002 and first anchored political program of Geo News, the Frontline.
After spending great span of time with Geo/Jung, Mr. Khan announced his leaving from Geo TV in an emotional way and said Good Bye to his audience during his show. Similarly Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain who was known as the senior staffer of Geo News has also left this controversial channel and joined Express News where he is currently hosting Ramzan transmission and acting as Vice President of the channel. Dr. Shahid Masood, political writer, television host, journalist also tweeted in this regard.
