Karachi: ‘Expected’ Upcoming Schools & Colleges Holidays

karachi school holidayEvery school and college remained close on some special events in Karachi every year as few upcoming holidays are also expecting in the remaining two months of this year. However six holidays are expecting in the coming months on which every school, college and educational institute are used to remain closed every year.

Here are the following expected upcoming holidays:

  • 9th November:

All colleges and school will remain closed on 9th November (Monday) due to the birthday of national poet Allama Iqbal

  • 26th November:

The Urs of Sindhi Sufi scholar and poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai is held on 29th November (Thursday) as all educational institutes remain closed on account of Urs of famous poet. Abdul Bhittai’s Urs held on 14th Safar (the second month of Islamic calendar) every year.

  • 3rd December:

All schools and colleges are expected to remain close on 3rd December (Thursday) on account of Chehlum of Imam Hussain (A.S)

  • 5th December:

Local bodies election of Sindh will held on 5th December (Thursday) and it is expected that all those schools and colleges open on Saturday will remain close on 5th December.

  • 24th December:

Eid Milad Un Nabi will going to be observed on 24th December (Thursday) this year as all schools and colleges remain closed on the birthday of last prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) which held on 12th Rabi Ul Awwal (3rd month of Islamic calendar).

  • 25th December:

25th December (Friday) will observe as birthday of founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah due to which all educational institutes will remain close.

However it is expected that people will enjoy long weekend from 24th December to 27th December as official holiday will observe on 24th-25th after which weekend will start Saturday and Sunday.
