Karachi: ‘Expected’ Upcoming Schools & Colleges Holidays

Every school and college remained close on some special events in Karachi every year as few upcoming holidays are also expecting in the remaining two months of this year. However six holidays are expecting in the coming months on which every school, college and educational institute are used to remain closed every year.

Here are the following expected upcoming holidays:

• 9^th November:

All colleges and school will remain closed on 9^th November (Monday) due to the birthday of national poet Allama Iqbal

• 26^th November:

The Urs of Sindhi Sufi scholar and poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai is held on 29^th November (Thursday) as all educational institutes remain closed on account of Urs of famous poet. Abdul Bhittai’s Urs held on 14^th Safar (the second month of Islamic calendar) every year.

• 3^rd December:

All schools and colleges are expected to remain close on 3^rd December (Thursday) on account of Chehlum of Imam Hussain (A.S)

• 5^th December:

Local bodies election of Sindh will held on 5^th December (Thursday) and it is expected that all those schools and colleges open on Saturday will remain close on 5^th December.

• 24^th December:

Eid Milad Un Nabi will going to be observed on 24^th December (Thursday) this year as all schools and colleges remain closed on the birthday of last prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) which held on 12^th Rabi Ul Awwal (3^rd month of Islamic calendar).

• 25^th December:

25^th December (Friday) will observe as birthday of founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah due to which all educational institutes will remain close.

However it is expected that people will enjoy long weekend from 24^th December to 27^th December as official holiday will observe on 24^th-25^th after which weekend will start Saturday and Sunday.
