Hello Guys! Just came to know about a recent scam these days at Tibet centre Karachi so I thought I should intimate everybody here and look for common victims.
Something happened recently with my Brother’s colleague, he asked a technician at Tibet Centre to install reflectors on the front of his Honda City, after the technician finished he asked my Brother’s colleague to Pay Rs. 60,000 as installation charges, yes you read it right.
He paid 2000 on the spot and asked the technician it is not even near the common installation charges, on which the technician replied “Hum nae maang rahe andar hamara seth maang raha hai” (We all know who those Seths are they and to where they belong).
For collection of the remaining amount, 1 person sat with him in the car while the other followed on 2 bikes to his office until the charges were paid. I wonder if someone can take notice for this.

Similar thing happened to me just recently. A guy came to me saying I will place some double sided tape behind the car door rubbers and it will cost you Rs. 65. Using my common sense that he is saying Rs. 65 per door I told him to do the job. Meanwhile another guy came and said that I will place some missing seals on your car door nuts which are exposed and it will cost you Rs. 35. I told him to place one seal only as the particular nut he was pointing at was actually slightly rusted. After both guys completed their jobs with the help of 6 to 7 people, saying look we are doing your job as quickly as possible since you are in a hurry, they demanded from me Rs. 28000/-, Rs. 25000/- for tape and Rs. 3000/- for 148 seals. I was shocked and told that for this job I am not paying this much and they said if you won’t pay we will remove everything we have placed on your car which will damage your car paint and break the rubber seal. I resisted and they started hitting my car saying that we know how to take the money out from the people and gathered few more people and surrounded me and said come with me to ATM. Scared as hell I went to the ATM and payed the money. We need to raise awareness on this and tell the people not to get any job done from there. Only go buy the stuff you want and give it to your personal mechanic to get it fixed. Someone also needs to take an action against this, but since we can’t hope for anything from the authorities as they are also involved with them in this SCAM the best option for us is to avoid them as much as possible.
