Kashmir Liberation Front Javed Ahmed Mir Demands Freedom

Kashmir's prisoners in IndiaKarachi: Kashmir Liberation Front’s chairman and senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Javed Ahmed Mir said while demanding freedom for the young freedom fighters who are confined to jails in different cities of India that these political prisoners to be transferred in Kashmir at earliest.

During the meeting with the family of these prisoners, Javed Ahmed Mir demanded while expressing strong regrets about political prisoners that they should be transferred to the jails of Kashmir as they are facing physical violence in the jails of India which is not acceptable. The prisoners who are in imprisonment in the jails of Jodhpur, Jaipur, Tihar Jail Delhi, Jharkhand, Jammu, Katoa, Adampur, Sirinagar and in other cities and states of India are not treated in the right manner and prisons officials are making difficult to live for them by their violence and maltreatment, Javed Ahmed Mir added.

Kashmir Liberation Front’s chairman also said that there are several jails like Abbu Ghareeb in different cities and states of India where Kashmir’s detainees have been treated in the worse condition. He also appealed to Amnesty International, European Unions and other International human rights organizations to interfere in this matter and make sure the process of transfer of Kashmir’s political prisoners to Kashmir.
