KESC Free Electricity To TCF, LRBT & Indus Hospital

Recently I read news in newspaper that Karachi Electric Supple Company (KESC) has will be providing free electricity to four leading social welfare institutions. This step of KESC shows that the company is doing well and is also giving relief.

KESC has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with four healthcare and educational institution which are as follows:

  • The Citizens Foundation (TCF) – Free Electricity for 320 Schools in Karachi
  • Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust (LRBT) – Free Electricity for Two Hospitals
  • Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre – Free Electricity for the Leprosy Center
  • Indus Hospital – 50% of the Hospital’s Power Bills to be Paid by KESC

To provide electricity to 320 schools of TCF is a great job done. TCF has more than 830 schools in all over Pakistan where more than 115000 students are studying.

This type of initiative will provide relief to large number of people. It will be great if KESC installs wind energy project and generates electricity through wind turbines which will lower the sky rocketing tariff.
