Lahore: Pakistan Cable Operators Association’s President Khalid Arain said while talking to the press conference that cable operators have been threatened by making fake case against them. He said that fake FIR has been filed against CAP Punjab General Secretary Chaudhry Tahir Javed from Multan and then he arrested from Lahore.
Khalid Arain said that we are not afraid by these fake and illegal allegations as this strategy will not be in favor of those who are trying to puzzle cable operators. There are fears that government will also banned Dunya News and Samaa TV in the coming time, Khalid Arain added. Mr. Khalid warned that if Chaudhry Tahir Javed will not release then protest activities will be started in this manner as this is complete injustice with cable operators. CAP President Khalid Arrain added that Chaudhry Tahir Javed arrested in the accusation that he was threatening PEMRA staff which is completely false allegation against him.
Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists’ President Rana Azim said that there will be a protest tomorrow in front of PEMRA (Pakistan Electronic Media Regularity Authority) office while four provincial assemblies’ proceedings will be bygott in this regard as these wrong blames will not be tolerated in any case.
