Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan has issued the schedule of local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and according to it municipal elections will be held on 30th May,2015 while results of the LG polls in KP will be announced on 10th June. According to the details ECP had prepared the schedule on Tuesday regarding municipal election in the province.
With respect to the given schedule by ECP, the scrutiny of the nomination papers will continue from 20th -25th April while two days have been set for the hearings of appeals from 26th-28th April whereas 4th May is set for the disposal of all hearings in this regard. However if any candidate wants to withdraw his nomination, he is allowed to withdraw it on 5th May after which the list of candidates will be released on 6th May.
On the other hand, the concerned returning officer’s office is in progress in order to provide nomination papers. However the local bodies’ elections will take place on 25th April in all the cantonment boards of the country as nomination papers have delivered for general seats on behalf of 199 wards of the cantonment boards.
