KPK Agriculture Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai Biography

Shahram Khan is a politician from Swabi District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Chairman Awami Jamhuri Ittehad Pakistan (AJIP) and Minister for Agriculture KPK. He is the first son of Pakistani industrialist Liaqat Khan Tarakai and Khan was educated at Fazal Haq College in Mardan and at Edwards College in Peshawar.

Shahram Khan went U.K and Australia for further studies, after studied from Australia; he returned to Pakistan and took part in the election as the nazim-e-aala (Mayor) in Swabi District. His widespread and well-funded election campaign, including newspaper, television, and billboard advertisements, attracted national consideration. Khan was blamed by Opposition leaders of misusing his father’s wealth to buy votes as he earned a great amount of votes.

Sharam khan is recently designated as a member of Provincial Assembly of KPK and is also selected as a minister of Agriculture. The Sawabi Jamhoori Ittehad has changed the party name to Awami Jamhoori Ittehad and is in partnership with Pakistan Movement for Justice (PTI) in current government.

Pakistani former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and former President Pervez Musharraf visited Swabi under Khan’s tenancy where Musharraf announced a 100 million rupee development package for the region. Khan focused a number of local development systems and then electricity supplies were extended to unpowered regions, gas pipeline provision was upgraded, and construction of the Shah Mansoor hospital was advanced.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health & Chairman AJIP Shahram Khan is looking for progress on various development projects in health sector, at a high level in Peshawar.
