Lack Of Subsidiary Industries In Pakistan

In our country along with big industries subsidiary link industries are not set up and big industries have to perform all the functions totally by themselves for example separation of cotton seeds for cotton, making cotton yarn from cotton and finally weaving cotton cloth from cotton yarn have to be done in cotton textile mills themselves. If for all the three stages separate industrial units are established then the work of making cotton cloth can be accelerated and its production may increase.

Similarly if along with sugar factory molasses are used for making alcohol and alcohol is used with petrol to drive cars then overall increase in industrial activities can be made for all industries to increase production capacities of the major industries. For example in India cotton yarn is made by ”Charkha” as cottage industry (introduced by Mahatma Gandhi).

In this connection we can follow the example of Japan where large numbers of subsidiary industries are set up under each major industry following the principle of division of work. Thus Japan produces large quantities of industrial products and she has captured the international markets and is supplying its products to almost all the countries of the world.

Thus maximum economies are availed and by the residual or waste raw materials also different Kinds of industrial products are made which is really a great industrial achievement.
