Lahore Bachao Tehreek Imrana Tiwana Criticizes Orange Line Project

Lahore Bachao Tehreek convener and architect Imrana Tiwana has showed concerns on Orange Line Project Lahore and badly criticize this. While sharing her point of view on a popular television talk show, Imrana Tiwana has said that the Orange Line Project is gradually becoming white elephant. She said that Orange Line Project is being made by violating Pakistani law. Imrana Tiwana said that the project has badly ruined our culture and thousands of people have been home-less with this project. She said that the cost of Orange Line Project is much higher than the total health budget of Punjab.

While sharing her concerns on this mega project, Imrana Tiwana has said that the Punjab Government needs to give subsidy of Rs. 31 billion on yearly basis to run this project and it is not understandable that how this project is being made. She said that 10 Crore rupees will be spend daily on Orange Line Project, and 20 buses could be purchased daily with this amount. She said that the Punjab Government can provide water and education with this project within the province.

On the other end, the spokespersons of Punjab Government have rejected all the concerns on this project and claimed that around 3 million people will get benefits from this project.
