Lahore’s New Bustling Hub Gurumangat Road

Stretching for over four kilometres between College Road and the Jinnah Flyover, Gurumangat Road is one of Lahore’s busiest throughfares. Over the last decades , increasing investor interest has led to the establishment of a diverse range of commercial enterprises along this road. A media hub and much more.. Due to the fact that the offices of several prominent newspapers and television channels are located on Gurumangat Road, it is sometimes referred to as Lahore’s ‘media hub’. Their presence, along with that of several government offices and well-known schools, not to mention several factories, ensures that traffic jams are commonplace during the day. In the evenings, the Roads is equally congested because of the plethora of eateries and wedding lawns (including Chandni and Zafar Banquet Halls ) located there.

From books to barbeque… Like all popular commercial areas, Gurumangat Road has its share of well-known eateries, which have been established recently. These include Akram Tikka, Dastarkhuwan, Pakhtunkhwa Lamb BBQ, Peshawari Namak Mandi and Sarhad Hotel. However, if desi cuisine is not your thing, the up market restaurants of M.M. Alam Road are shot drive away. Before you leave, enjoy a cup of coffee and dessert at Books n Beans, a new bookstore-cum-coffee shop.

The real estate take…. Commercial property options include retail space in commercial buildings as well as standalone shops. Property value has increased by 15% in the last five years, while rentals have increased by 10%. Demand for property has increased substantially in this time period and is expected to increase by a further 10% in the next three years.

In a nutshell… Given the increasing investor interest and the presence of well-known restaurants that have recently opened there, Gurumangat Road is now forging an identity that is distinctively its own.
