These days wine is being selling commonly in most of the residential areas of Karachi as many local wine shops have placed in several areas of Karachi where people are doing business of wine without any fear. Recently it has found by the media team that shop is situated in Gulistan-e-Johar near Perfume Chowk on the very main road where shopkeepers are selling wine openly.
The legal wine shop which is located near educational institutions in Gulistan-e-Johar has also being directed by Commissioner Karachi Roshan Ali Shaikh to remove wine shop from this residential area .But no action has been taken by the shopkeepers on the orders of the Commissioner Karachi. Media team of private channel has also done show on this shop in the past after which Commissioner Karachi directed to remove wine shop. But media team has again raided on this legal wine shop and found that it is still running openly without obeying the orders of Commissioner Karachi.
It is illegal to run wine shop in a residential area as there are many educational institutions and flats in this area which are highly effected with this shop. It has also found that youngster are purchasing wine from this shop as this kind of shops are spoiling young generation who are getting attracted to this illegal act due to these legal wine shops situated in residential areas.
The question is rising in the mind who are those powerful figures which are running this shop after the orders of removal of shop of Commissioner Karachi. Who are backing to these shopkeepers of wine shops who have no fear of anyone and running it openly after legislation.
[alert style=”white”]This media team has also received complaints that people who drunk used to tease women as well as families of this residential areas are also disturbed with these activities.[/alert] On the other hand, police is playing no role in order to stop these illegal acts as well as government is also silent over these wine shop which is immensely harming the environment of residential areas. Families are helpless and can’t take any action against these wine shops in Karachi as they feel their unsecured in those areas where this illegal business in on its peak.
Although this is not only a one case which has showed by the media team of private channel as there are many legal wine shops are legally operating near educational institutes and residential areas.
