LHC Orders For Release Of Model Ayyan Ali On Bail

Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered to release super model Ayyan Ali who was arrested in currency smuggling case. According to the sources, LHC decided on Tuesday to release super model on her bail application as her bail was denied by LHC Justice Abdul Sami Khan on 29^th June. However model Ayyan Ali will be able to celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr with her family and loved ones.

During the last hearing of the case Lawyer of the model Advocate Khurram Latif Khosa said that her client has been in jail since last 4 months without any reason. While according to the Customs Act, if investigation has been completed and accused is a women then she can be released on bail, Advocate Khurram Latif Khosa added.

Although, the court had issued notices of her release to the government and customs officials in this regard. It is worth mentioning here that Ayyan Ali also imposed charges during last proceedings while breaking her silence for the very first time in this case that she is facing discrimination in the trial of currency smuggling case.
