Major-General Humaid Al Hadeedi, Chief of Sharjah Police Speaks

security camerasSharjah: Major-General Humaid Al Hadeedi, the Chief of Sharjah Police told that almost 500 road surveillance cameras have started to set by the police near the emirate’s roads and junctions. These cameras would be installed on roads near hotels, schools, public parks, government offices and other places in order to increase and update the security system in UAE.

Major-General Humaid Al Hadeedi said that these cameras contains high quality picture and videos as well as they have high storage capacity as we can save any video for security purposes. New cameras will be joined to the police’s operation room and will start functioning in the 20 days due to which police will be able to get direct information of road accidents and traffic flow. Chief of Sharjah Police also told that this project revolves around three phases as the first phase has almost completed with the approximate cost of Dh30 million.

[alert style=”white”]The whole project is expected to be completed in 5 years in collaboration with Dell International as Sharjah known as the third city to use surveillance cameras after New York and London, added by Major-General Humaid Al Hadeedi.[/alert] It is pertinent to mention that Sharjah Police has signed a partnership agreement with Dell International as the Dell Company is responsible to complete the logistics operations and solutions for technological and advanced surveillance systems of this project.
